New Board Member, Peter Shults

Newest board member, Peter Shults, has become actively involved in our visitor programs from the moment he joined the team. He enjoys meeting with our visitors, either as a speaker in a professional setting, or at cultural events we host. He has practiced law, mainly public international law, in Boston, and his department was headquartered in Washington DC, representing foreign governments, either in US courts or international courts and tribunals, such as The International Court of Justice (the judicial organ of the United Nations). He has had connections with international affairs and foreign policy there.

He moved back to Arkansas to practice law with his father, and finds half of his practice here is Commercial Litigation, Arkansas, with the other half still working with his old firm doing international legal work. He also is an adjunct professor at Bowen School of Law, teaching International Law and International Human Rights Law.
