We hated to see him go, but in April 208, Chris Hiryak and his wife Sally left Arkansas to carry on with his passion for farming in the Denver, Colorado area. Here, Chris is standing amongst the products of his labor at Little Rock Urban Farming holding a certificate from the U.S. Department of State expressing their appreciation for his work hosting YLAI National Pitch winner from St. Lucia, Johanan Dujon (featured in our last newsletter). Chris, who traveled in 2017 to Malaysia for his Outbound Project with Little Rock YSEALI fellow Alicia Ng, was an avid supporter of the work of Global Ties Arkansas, so much so that he is now volunteering his expertise to our counterpart organization in Colorado, World Denver.
