GLOBAL TIES ARKANSAS + IBLA FOUNDATION present in dedication to the people of Ukraine

On Monday, May 2nd, the 31st annual International Music Competition Winners will be performing at Temple B'nai Israel at 7PM. This concert showcases world-class pianists, singers, instrumentalists and composers across the globe previously recognized as winners in Ragusa Ibla, Italy.

Global Ties Arkansas is honored to host this event with the IBLA Foundation. The concert is FREE and followed by a reception that is sponsored by Trios Restaurant. You can contact us to reserve your spot at the concert.

The IBLA Grand Prize International Music Competition is an annual music competition open to all instruments, vocalists and composers with a focus on classical music. There is no age limit, nor are there specific repertoire demands except from time limits. Musicians are encouraged to present the music they love the most and that represents their music vision. The competition aims to nourish the career of the winners by offering a large international performance experience. This competition is different from most other music competitions in a way that there are no rounds or prizes such as a first and second prize, and competitors are judged against the international standard of high quality performances rather than competing against each other. From that perspective, there could be one, or many winners, depending on the performance quality level expressed by contestants. Participants play their program (or parts of it) multiple times, and whenever possible in multiple venues, from churches to theaters, villas and historical palaces.Every performance is being judged and counts for the final vote. This all takes place in Ragusa-Ibla Sicily.

The best performers are invited for concerts abroad in such venues as Carnegie Hall, which is to be considered as the Top Prize. Besides the professional experience, the IBLA Grand Prize offers a unique opportunity to meet and interact with fellow musicians from all over the world in the awe inspiring environment of the beautiful Italian baroque village of Ragusa-Ibla.

The group arrives late on Saturday April 30. Sunday afternoon they will attend a potluck at Toni and Jim Carr's to meet locals. Sunday night they play in Cabot. Monday morning they are performing at Gibbs International Magnet Elementary school and the afternoon will be master classes at Catholic High in LR. Monday at 7 is our LR concert. Then they travel to the rest of the state.
